Hi All. I received this post in an email. I am RE-Posting it here just to extend my support to these guys. They are doing a great stuff.
Event schedule:
Venue: In front of Begur Panchalingeswara Temple(entrance from Begur Lake side)
Dress code: Blue jeans + White top(T-shirt) + Caps (keeping in mind sun/heat) for participants.
1. Assemble near venue: 9:30 AM
2. Human Chain formation from 10:00 AM -10:30 AM (30 mins or max 1 hour)
3. Oath taking (Kannada & English) – 5 mins
4. Guest speaker: MLA (10 mins), Expert speaker on lake ( Ashwin Mahesh/ others (10 mins) & BBMP/ BDA Commissioner (10 mins)
5. Attendees to clean up the litter created around the lake during the event(by participants) using disposable gloves.
Request :
· We need minimum 30 volunteers. Can we request confirmation per return mail/sms.
· Each resident welfare association to promote this event in their respective community mails/notices
· Please inform maximum number of people including your kids, friends, relatives, and all others whom you know (don’t restrict to people in & around Singasandra & Begur) to ensure maximum participation for this event.
· Please carry drinking water bottle (efforts are on to organize for the same at venue)
· Prepare & bring placards for the event. Any size is fine (preferred size: 2 ft x 2ft)
· There is enough car parking near venue. Request parking to be done in designated spots only.
· Volunteers will only be happy to assist & clarify you
Note:
· People of Begur have expressed their desire & interest to support us
· Few political parties have extended their support to us.
